Ameyaw Debrah, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and More Among the List of 2017 Most Influencial Young Africans

Africa Youth Awards has released its 2nd annual list of the 2017 100 Most Influential Young Africans, an initiative which is noted to be the biggest and most respected across the continent with participation from over 140 countries globally.   Speaking about the list, Prince Akpah, President of Africa Youth Awards noted the exceptionality of this year’s list which has an unprecedented gender representation of 45 women and 55 men, which he noted as a great move to inspire more young women in Africa and across the world to reach out for their dreams. The list which was restricted to age limits between, 15 & 36 had a coverage of 28 countries on the continent with Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and Kenya leading with 19, 18, 10, 7 representatives respectively. Asamoah Gyan Commissions A Sports Complex For His Former School Accra Academy, Worth $200,000!!

Ghana's captain and the highest all time goal scorer of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has commission an altra-modern Sports complex for his alma mater Accra Academy. The Asamoah Gyan Sports Centre, as it is known aims to help Ghana as a whole and students of Accra Academy in particular to train well and excel well in sports.  Commissioning the $200,000  Astro Turf  at the school’s compound at Bubiiashie near Kaneshie in Accra, Isaac Asiamah ,the Sports Minister mentioned that the gesture typifies high level of volunteerism As a result, he has called on all to celebrate the Black Stars captain for his exemplary leadership qualities and giving back to his alma mater.   Ex-Ghana internationals were held to a one all draw by Asamoah Gyan XI in the first ever game staged at the Asamoah Gyan Sports Centre on Wednesday under floodlight.
