Zylofon Media: The good, the bad, the ugly – staff member writes

Today marks exactly 1 year i started working at Zylofon media as a marketer. I recieved a call from a lady (HR) with a voice sweet enough to melt the hearts of angels; “Rexford, you have been employed. Please report at the office by 8am” OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! I couldn’t hide my excitement, I called close friends, family and even said a silent prayer to the most HIGH. History was about to be made and Rex will not be left out. Hmmm As marketer, an artist, beat maker, keyboard instructor with many years of experience in entertainment activities, working for Zylofon Media was just a dream come true. THE GOOD Entertainment in Ghana was literally on life support and needed immediate resuscitation. Musicians, actors/actress had no major platforms supporting their arts. There were no record labels with the right financial muscles to push these artists beyond the *Togo boarder*. Most artist in their struggle for survival metamorphosed into Instagram *slay kings* and *queen...

Stonebwoy Rejects Zylofon Music's Press Release and Demand An Apology From Willie Roi For Bhimnation And EWEs

Dancehall act Stonebwoy has reacted to the press release from Zylofon Music, dissociating itself from the reckless facebook post from A&R for Artiste Development at Zylofon Media, Willie Roi. Mr Roi made a facebook post yesterday belittling Stonebwoy as a cheap artiste and worse of all mentioning his tribe at the end of his post. In fact, when I chanced on the screenshot earlier in the morning, I was so pissed and before posting it on my timeline on facebook it took me about 30 minutes to write up a caption for it, because a lot was going through my mind and I still wanted to give him that respect which he doesn't have for himself. Read his post below:  I mean how can an old man of Willie Roi's calibre be so dumb? Zylofon Media well knew Stonebwoy and Shatta were rivals before signing the two. Things were rosy with Zylofon and Stonebwoy but after Shatta Wale was signed everything changed and whiles the CEO Nana Appiah Mensah is trying hard to make p...

Some online portals have even quoted Ghs 200,000 and 700,000 being the money Zylofon Media demanded from Charterhouse for their artistes to perform for only 30 minutes. Sammy Flex, the Head of Communication at Zylofon Media and also the host of 'Showbiz Agenda' on Zylofon Fm, on Friday 13th April, has debunked all those rumours, saying there's no iota of truth in them, as monitored by www.elormonline.com.
