I’m Ever Ready to Produce Any Political Song –Appietus

Award-winning music producer, Appietus, has proclaimed that although he has no interest in partisan politics, he is ever ready to produce songs for any political party whatsoever.
Well noted as the sound engineer behind the impeccable production of Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo’s hit campaign song in 2008 and Kwame Aplus’ latest controversial single titled Aben Be Bom, one might speculate Appietus belongs to the NPP. In an interview with Flex newspaper, the Muje Baya hit producer debunked rumors making rounds that he belongs to the NPP and explained the real situation on the ground.
“A lot of people are calling and asking me why I did a flawless job on Aben Be Bom. The thing is, I’ve always played exceptional beats and that’s my hard earned mark in the music industry. I only did my job on any of the songs I’ve produced for the NPP. I’m not even interested in any political party, but I’m ever ready to produce political songs for any party at all. If they approach me, why not? It’s just a matter of quoting my fee and getting the job done,” Appietus stated.
Some persons have raised concerns about the nature of campaign songs musicians release in election years as this. When asked whether or not songs like Aben Be Bom can incite political feuds, the Talent Discovery and Development Director at MUSIGA said this;
“Whether we like it or not, the politicians are already at each other’s throats so a song like Aben Be Bom cannot stir up any disputes. Furthermore, everything Aplus said on the song was nothing new. He only summarized and reminded Ghanaians of the series of fishy events that took place under the reign of this present government,”
According to Appietus, he has Ghana’s music industry at heart so if at some point in time his contribution to the industry earns him a position in government, he would accept it with open arms, regardless of the party in power. The multiple hit beat maker and C.E.O of Creative Records is currently busy on new crop of talents in the industry such as Don Itchi, OB Nation and a host of other incredible acts.
