The Black Queens hammered their Malian counterparts 3-1 in their final group game in the African Women’s Championship on Saturday.
Ghana’s search for the opener came on the stroke of half time through Linda Eshun.
And back from the break Yusif Basigi’s charges went on rampage, scoring two goals in the process: Samira Suleman made it 2-0 in the 68th minute, before stand-in skipper, Elizabeth Addo scored the third goal in the 73rd minute to register her personal third goal of the tournament-all from the spot-kick.
Diarra scored the consolation goal for Mali.
The Black Queens finished second in the group behind the Super Falcons of Nigeria, after trailing them by goal difference.
Hence will play against hosts, Cameroon on Tuesday in the semi-finals.
