The November edition of the men’s football rankings released by football’s World governing body, FIFA, has seen Ghana drop to 53rd position in the world.
The Black Stars are 9th in Africa. Senegal occupy the top spot in Africa, closely followed by Ivory Coast,Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria who make Africa’s top five.
The four-time Africa Cup of Nations champions were previously ranked 45th in the world and third in Africa, but recent poor results over the past months have seen them drop eight places.
Recently, the Black Stars of Ghana lost by 2-0 against the Pharaohs of Egypt in the 2018 World Cup qualifier played in Alexandria.
