Blackstars Agree To Slash Wining Bonuses By 50%


The Minister designate for Youth and Sports, Mr. Isaac Asiamah today in a meeting with the players of the Black Stars resolved to slash bonuses by 50%.

The two parties have agreed a 50% slash in their initial bonuses at every stage at the AFCON 2017.

The Black Stars will therefore recieve $15,000 as qualification bonus representing three matches played at the group stages at the Africa Cup of Nations.

They will receive $5,000 at the quarter final stage, instead of the initial $10,000; $6,000 at the semi-final stage instead of the initial $12,000.

Bonus for the final is $7,500 for the Black Stars instead of the initial $15,000.

The minister promised them of a special package if they emerge as winners in the ongoing Afcon

Speaking with the sports minister designate in an exclusive interview,he told  Sportscrusader.com that

“We deemed it neccesary to sit down with the players to slash their bonuses due to the economic hardship the country is facing now”.
“We also wanted the team to get back the love and support they used to have in the last from Ghanaians.

“The players are happy with the decision and I think Ghanaian fans will also be happy with the decision taken.

” What they need to do now is to win the the trophy, that is the most important expected of them”.He added.

Dancehall Superstar Stonebwoy shutdown Samatex Sports Stadium in Samerboi- Western Region of Ghana on May 1, with energetic performance witnessed by a mammoth, crowd. Photos & Videos: Stonebwoy Broke and Set New Record At Ashaiman To The World Concert 2018

Ghana's "Most Original" dancehall artist Stonebwoy broke his own record yesterday when he pulled over 70,000 fans and lovers of his music at the Saka Saka Park in Ashaiman for the fifth edition of his annual 'Ashaiman To The World Concert'. The show which recorded its biggest patronage last year saw that record broken yesterday as thousands more of Bhimnation fans across Ghana thronged the park to show love and support for their hero Stonebwoy. Livingstone Etse Setakla aka Stonebwoy was born and bread in Ashaiman and in his own small way of giving back to the hood where his music dreams all started before he broke out and became one of the most sorted after musician in Africa, birthed this concert in 2014 to perform free and also offer the stage for all up and coming acts to showcase their talents to the world.
