"Gbevu" Has Brought Back Edem's Originality

One Big name that can not be overlooked as far as Ghanaian Hip Hop is concerned is Edem. He started way back but still in the game like never before.
Starting from Hammer the Last 2, Edem is known for his energy, good delivery, punchlines and originality(Ewe), these qualities enabled him to release great songs that were massively accepted by everyone. After leaving the Last 2 records Edem is still doing very well releasing hit songs by hit songs eveynow and then, but to me as a music lover and an Edemite for that matter, i feel there are a couple of Edem's songs in which i did not feel his originality. A song like "Nyedzilo" was a very good song But i didn't feel the Real Edem i knew in songs like "The Legacy", "Bra fre mi" "Rush u dey craze" just to mention a few. Some may argue that he is just exhibiting his versatility but i still hold onto my stance. As the saying goes "Once a soldier, always a soldier"

VRMG boss has released a very interesting song on Jan 1 2017 to kick start the new year and everyone is loving it to the max.
The song titled "GBEVU", to me is a real Edem song, because listening to this song brings back all the original feelings of Edem's songs released under Last 2, you can feel his rhymes, energy, good delivery, originality and creativity. In this song Edem used many captivating Ewe jargons as he originally does which makes the song so interesting and riding on a monster  Hip Hop beat of this kind, his delivery was superb.

Big ups to the video director Pascal Aka, he has done a great work in directing this video such that the video brings all the emotions in the song in that, even if you did not understand the language watching the video alone gives you a fair idea about the whole song and that was great.

With this great feelings i have after listining to "Gbevu" over and over again, I can boldly say "Gbevu has brought back Edem's Originality"

Watch and Listen to GBEVU and feel what am feeling!
