George Quaye's VGMA bribery allegation against gospel musicians is getting hot and hotter everyday as many gospel musician have decided to return their plaques.
"Mayese wopen" singer O.J is the latest to join Ohemaa Mercy to threaten the return of all Ghana Music Awards plaques they have won to the organisers after Mr. Quaye's comment.
Explaining what prompted his decisions to return the plaques, the singer said, Mr. Quaye’s claim gives the impression that all gospel musicians who had nominations or won awards for the past years offered bribe for
them.
He challenged the PRO to mention the names of the offenders else he will return all the awards he has won as a gospel muscian.
Speaking to zionfelix on radio Univers, O.J stated that his management has retrieved all the forms they submitted to be part of this year's awards scheme. According to him, he filed for about five nominations before George
Quaye’s “careless” statement but he is not interested in the awards
anymore until they name the gospel musicians who offered bribe.
O.J is therfore calling on his fellow gospel musicians and all artist in the country to come together and fight against Charterhouse for their gross disrespect towards them over the years.
