Maame Dokono Has Denied Collapsing on Set After Smoking Cigarette

Veteran actress Grace Omaboe, aka Maame Dokono, has completely rubbished reports that she collapsed during the shooting of Kofas Media’s yet to be released movie ‘John and John’.

Reports in the media had indicated that Maame Dokono had fainted, possibly suffered a heart attack, after puffing cigarettes as part of her role on the movie.

But the actress rubbished the reports during an appearance on Adom News. According to her, she had some trouble after puffing the cigarette but she never collapsed and certainly did not suffer a coronary attack.

“Though I coughed after I pulled the smoke the first time I never fainted neither did I have a heart attack, they are all speculations,” she said.

Kofi Asamoah, CEO of Kofas Media, who are producing the movie, backed Maame Dokono up, corroborating her version of events.

“Her character required her to smoke and we were expecting a very smooth one until she had a small discomfort because she had never smoked before,” he said, adding that she never fainted due to that.
