Ghana's finest rapper M.anifest popularly known as 'god Mc' has won an international award in the just ended 2017 Midem festival in Cannes, France after his spectacular performace.
M.anifest, one of 11 Midem Artist Accelerator finalists, won an
online vote pre-Midem and as such, an International Midem Award. The
rapper shared the news on social media saying: “Good with the words but I suck at speeches…sometimes. Thanks to the jury and the people dem for this midem award.”
Midem’s 11 Music Artist Accelerator finalists performed on Day 1 of
the festival, while renowned Haitian rapper and producer, Wyclef Jean,
joined them with a wild and energetic performance on Day 2.

The Midem Artist Accelerator is an exclusive programme for artists
and their entourages. It is designed to support managers, agents, labels
and publishers as they look to grow their artists’ profiles globally,
as an opportunity to promote 11 International talents selected by an
Artistic Committee.
The Midem Artist Accelerator 360 programme features a range of
curated networking opportunities, as well as learning and coaching
sessions with leaders of the international music industry.
The 2017 VGMA best rapper award winner unanimously had the nod
following two fiercely contested phases of balloting; Panel selection
and public voting.
The finalists had the opportunity to play a live set at Midem and
would have their song featured on Midem’s communication outlets.
