Nigeria Bows to Ghana As Senegal Wins 3FM Jollof War 2017, Find Out All The Details

Finally the much talked about, "3fm Jollof War 2017" happened on Saturday July 1, 2017 at TV3 premises in Accra.
The event which is the maiden edition, had a massive attendance from the general public, and some celebrities like Adina, eShun and others, also made an appearance.
"Jollof War" is an initiative under the auspices of 3FM 92.7, which aims at finding out who cooks the best jollof   in West Africa. Participating countries in this first edition are: Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.
Jollof is a popular West African rice dish, which is believed to have originated from Senegal, but there has been serious arguments between Ghanaians and Nigerians, as to who prepares it the best and i think today settles that beef.

Chefs from the three countries, have prepared the jollof in the best way they can, and at the end of the competition, the judges have adjudged Senegal Jollof as the Best, at second place is Ghana and Nigeria held on to the third place.
All three participating countries were given prizes from the main sponsor of the event onga.

Organizer of the event said, "Jollof War" is going to be an annual event with more West African countries particitpating in subsequent years, with their own versions of Jollof. This aims at celebrating the cultural and culinary diversities of West Africa.

Ghana's "Most Original" dancehall artist Stonebwoy broke his own record yesterday when he pulled over 70,000 fans and lovers of his music at the Saka Saka Park in Ashaiman for the fifth edition of his annual 'Ashaiman To The World Concert'.
