"I can still hear the screams, the tears, the gunshots" - Adebayor Pays Tribute To Deceased Team Mates

Captain of Togo international team Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, has recounted the horrific attack on his team bus some 8 years ago in Cabinda as he pays tribute to the deceased souls.

SEA, took to his social media platforms on the 8th of Jan which marks exactly the 8th year since the incident happened, to share some few words as he reminise that tragedy.


He wrote: "SEA, January 8th 2010 - January 8th 2018. It´s now been 8 years since our TOGO team bus was attacked by terrorists in Cabinda. I can still hear the screams, the tears, the gunshots...the years go by but the pain doesn’t. 2 people were killed and others injured that day. I pray for all the families and players involved in this deadly tragedy... Thankful for everything. Lets stay strong, lets stay united 🙏🏾🇹🇬🙏🏾"
