Shunned by VGMA, 'Total Cheat' And 'Overdose' Win Big At The 3 Music Awards.

Saturday 24th March 2018 held the maiden edition of 3MUSIC Awards at the newly built Fantasy Dome in Accra.

A show which was fairly patronized saw a whole lot of great performances from artistes across genres. Big winners of the night include Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

Stonebwoy emerged as the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year whiles his arch-rival Shatta Wale emerged as Male Act of the Year and also won song of the year with Ayoo. Sarkodie was crowned best Hiplife/Hip-hop Artiste of the year and scooped the award for album of the year with his Highest album.

Amazingly, none of the Lynx signed artistes (Mzvee, Kuami Eugene, and KiDi) won any of their various categories. Is this a wake-up call for them as critics tag them for being pompous because of their hit songs?

Total Cheat by Fancy Gaddam and Sarkodie picked the award for Best Collaboration and Overdose by Sarkodie picked the Best Video award. Is this also to say that the VGMA board goofed by not nominating these winners in these categories they won? Remember your showbiz hub www.elormonline.com did a story some weeks back about fans being angry at the VGMA board for the non-nomination of Sarkodie's Overdose in Video of the Year category and Total Cheat in the Collaboration of the Year category. With this can we say the fans were right about their outcry?
