43rd SWAG Awards: Isaac Dogboe wins Sports Personality Of The Year Award - See Full List Of Winners

Ghana's youngest World Boxing Champion and holder of WBO Super Bantamweight/Junior Featherweight title, Isaac Dogboe has won the sports personality of the year award at the 'SWAG'.

The annual Sports Writers Association of Ghana Awards came off Friday night at the Accra International Conference Centre. 


Dogboe made the entire nation and continent proud last weekend when he floored defending champion Isaac Magdanelo to pick up the world title strap and he’s already picking honors for it. 




Other awardees on the night included Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Teye Partey winning Footballer of the Year Award, former Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey winning local Footballer of the Year award and Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom being presented with a special award.

11. Ofori Asare (Boxing) – Dedication & Valour 
12. Suzzy Dede Teye (ladystrikers/ black maidens) – Discovery of the year 
13. David Akwei (weightlifter) – Discovery of the year 
14. Isaac Nii Amugi (Armwrestler) – Discovery of the year 
15. Ampem Darkoa Ladies – Female team of the year 
16. Dr. Kojo Benjamin Taylor – Special Awards
