Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Davido has impressively won his second Best International Act Award at the just ended BETs in a historic manner.
Yes, Historic! because this time he received the award on the main stage unlike it used to be some years back.
Many African artistes have lamented bitterly over the years on how the BETs Best International act award is presented to the winners before the main awards with some calling it a "Backstage Award".
But this year, things changed drastically and the award was presented on the main stage with a little twist as formerly the inter-continental category was all put together as one 'Best International Act'.
Davido won by beating a keen competition from great global acts like FallyIppupa, Stormzy (UK, Steflon Don (UK, Cassper Nyovest (SA), Tiwa Savage(Nigeria), Booba (France).
During OBO's acceptance speech, he gave a shoutout to Nigerians and Africa, his family, team and also sent his condolence to Dbanj who tragically lost his one year son on the same day.
DMW boss then invited the world to come to Africa and explore it's beautiful culture, emphatically food. He said "Am telling you guys, come to Africa... eat the food... eat the food"
