As the dust gradually settles on the Menzgold brouhaha, musician and presenter, Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel has waded into the controversy stating that the boss of the embattled gold dealership firm, Nana Appiah Mensah is never a scammer as many people are purporting because whatever he did was very genuine and that he didn’t force people to invest with the company. According to her, whatever the result of her huge investment of over GH250,000 with the firm has brought is something she does not really regret. Gyedu-Blay Ambolley says he does not see fellow musicians— Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi— as high life musicians. According to the jazz and highlife music legend, most of the songs churned out by the two legendary musicians cannot be classified as highlife music. He, therefore, described Daddy Lumba as a musician who sings over disco beats and Kojo Antwi, a reggae musician. He made the revelation on Atinka TV’s Entertainment City Show during a discussion on highlife music and the way forward. The station compiled a video of highlife musicians from the genesis of highlife till date, which also included Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi. The father of embattled Menzgold CEO Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1 has visited his son under custody in Dubai. NAM1 was arrested in December 2018 in the UAE over an alleged gold scam deal between his firm and Horizons Diamond in Dubai and his father has traveled from Ghana to pay him a visit and check up on him. According to the Father, Nam wasn't involved in any scam/dupping or what so ever. A 27-year-old Paris based Model, Marina Mason popularly known as Michousb, has accused Ghana Black stars striker Mubarak Wakaso of infidelity.
