TV3 Sacks 32 Staff for Breach of Company's Ethics and Requirements

Thirty-two staff of TV3 Network Limited have summarily been dismissed from the company for engaging in a series of action which management described as a “breach of the ethics and legal requirements” regarding the employer/employee relationship. A statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Jimi Matthews, dated February 28, 2017 explained the affected staff who are from various departments including editorial, marketing and library “embarked on industrial action” without following the provisions of the Labour Act.  It said the staff took part in a series of action spanning about a week “without serving notice of their intentions to management and without providing management with an opportunity to engage with the aggrieved personnel. “The actions included, but was not limited to, writing threatening statements on a staircase threatening dire action, hoisting of red flags on the transmission mast and other places inside the premises and subsequently wearing

FIFA President Gianni Infantino Arrives In Ghana On Monday

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has  announced that FIFA President Gianni Infantino will visit Ghana on Monday on a one-day working visit. The leader of world football's governing body will arrive in Accra on Monday morning as he seeks to further strengthen the ties between FIFA and Ghana. Infantino will meet Ghana President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, at the Flagstaff House. “This is an important milestone for football in Ghana with President Infantino coming to the country to share ideas of his vision for the game," Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told Ghanafa.org. "President Infantino's visit is unique because it gives our key stakeholders the chance to exchange ideas with a sitting FIFA President to help shape the future of the game. Medikal Denied Requesting Cash for Interview Allegation.

Rapper Medikal has denied allegation by Hitz FM’s MzGee that he requested cash from her when she needed an interview in December 2016. The ‘Too Risky” singer reacting to the claim on Gh One TV stated clearly that “I never requested money from anyone”. Explaining his side of the story, Medikal disclosed that his manager drew his attention on a screenshot going viral on social suggesting he demanded money from the TV and radio presenter before granting an interview. He added “ I’ve done interview for her before so I don’t know what she is talking about”. According to the musician, he sometimes books interviews with radio and TV presenters after realising they are pushing his works so he was surprised to hear about such an unfortunate incident. Commenting on the screenshot, which suggested that a conversation about cash for interview happened between MzGee and himself, the AMG signed artiste stated that “I don’t know who did this thing. Why do We Have an Issue With Don Moen's Participation in Ghana @60 Celebrations? - Johnnie Hughes

Since the news about  American gospel singer/songwriter Don Moen's participation in this year's Ghana @60 aniversary celebrations broke, there has been several backlashes from great Ghanaian entertainment gurus and public figures disagreeing to the fact that his appearance as the headline artist is not needed, because there are gospel singers in this country who can write and sing as good as he does. But Radio and TV Personality Johnnie Beresford Hughes does not seem to have an issue with Don Moen's participation. He shared his views on social media by asking some key questions pertaining to the fact. Nigerian supper star Davido has confessed that despite God’s numerous blessings in his life, he hardly makes time to thank Him. Making a rare appearance in church, the music star, in a brief message, revealed that his friends encouraged him to go to the house of God. He surprised many when he joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lagos, Nigeria to worship God over the weekend. Arguably one of the biggest artistes on the African continent, Davido after being invited by the man of God to speak to the congregation shouted, “Praise the Lord” to a loud response from the congregation. “I woke up late this morning, I normally wake up late but my friends were like OBO lets go to church. God has been blessing me so much I rarely have time to come and thank Him,” he confessed. “We hope to see you again,” the pastor told him shortly after his revelation.  

Full Video: Unbelievable!! Mortuary-Men Seize Corpse in the Cemetery for Unpaid Debts

A great drama occurred at the Tema Community Nine Cemetery on Saturday, when two mortuary men from the Tema General Hospital aggressively removed a dead body from its coffin at the cemetery, over unpaid debts owed by the bereaved family. According to the men, the bereaved family have to pay an undertaken fee of GHs 150 for the one who dressed the body but the family decided to runaway with the body. So j ust as the coffin was about to be lowered  into the grave, the two men arrived and angrily opened the coffin and took the dead body away on their shoulders in the full glare of all the sympathizers. They later brought the corpse back into the coffin after they were settled by some sympathizers. Watch the full video below: 

DJ Khaled Brings Along His Adorable 3 Months Old son to the Grammys

Dj Khaled was present at the 59th annual Grammy Awards alongside his girlfriend Nicole Tuck and guest who else, his 3 months old son Asahd .  The charming baby boy was dressed in a purple jacket, bow and tie and a sneakers perfectly matching his dad's and Mum  stunned in a floor-length dark gown as the family posed for photos on the red carpet. Khaled has  made it clear in the past  that he is looking forward to his son following in his footsteps so there's no doubt their duds coordinate.  Khaled was nominated in the Best Rap  Album category for his album Major Key.

FIFA Ranking: Ghana Moves Up to 45th- Place in the World!

This month's edition of FIFA’s Ranking of national teams has saw Ghana move up to the 45th-place  in the world. The Black Stars of Ghana climbed up nine places in the latest edition of the rankings after finishing fourth at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. The Black Stars were previously ranked 54th in the world and 9th on Africa continent but improved results in recent matches has seen them move  to 45th in the world rankings and 8th on the Africa continent. Reigning African Champions Cameroon moved 29 places on the ranking to occupy the 33rd position on the globe where as finalist and seven-time Africa Champions Egypt stay top on the Africa ranking and 24th in the World.   Apaatse a Ghanaian hiplife artist has revealed that Shatta Wale couldn't have make it to fame without the help of Shatta Michy. In an interview with vibes in 5, the "Wedding day" hitmaker said : "Shatta Michy made Shatta Wale, she took Shatta Wale and invest into him".  He also elaborate on how he left Shatta Michy. "I will Return All My VGMA Plaques If........... " - O .J Threatens

George Quaye's VGMA bribery allegation  against gospel musicians is getting hot and hotter everyday as many gospel musician have decided to return their plaques. "Mayese wopen" singer O.J is the latest to join Ohemaa Mercy to threaten the return of all Ghana Music Awards plaques they have won to the organisers after   Mr. Quaye's comment. Explaining what prompted his decisions to return the plaques, the singer said, Mr. Quaye’s claim gives the impression that all gospel musicians who  had nominations or won awards for the past years offered bribe for them.  He challenged the PRO to mention the names of the offenders else he will return all the awards he has won as a gospel muscian. Speaking to zionfelix on radio Univers, O.J stated that his management has retrieved all the forms they submitted to be part of this year's awards scheme.
