Reggae star Blakk Rasta has launched his Kuchoko Revolution album on the BBC World Service radio. The 13-track album was launched live on the Focus on Africa programme, a show that reports and analyses the political, economic and sports news from across Africa. Kuchoco is Blakk Rasta’s new creation of African Reggae; it’s regular Jamaican Reggae music blended powerfully with indigenous African sounds and dances. And these are the sounds making up the tracks, including the hit Serwaa Akoto. After his BBC appearance, Blakk Rasta will grant interview on a number of UK-based radio stations including Galaxy Radio, Ahodwo FM and Fire Live Radio. Blakk Rasta has seven albums to his credit including Rasta Shrine (2000), More Fyah (2002), Ganja Minister (2004), Natty Bongo (2006), Naked Wire (2008), Voice of the Afrikan Rebel (2009) and Born Dread (2011). After his England tour, Blakk Rasta will be across the Atlantic to the United States for a series of engagements including
