Blakk Rasta Launches Kuchoko Revolution Album in UK

Reggae star Blakk Rasta has launched his Kuchoko Revolution album on the BBC World Service radio. The 13-track album was launched live on the Focus on Africa programme, a show that reports and analyses the political, economic and sports news from across Africa. Kuchoco is Blakk Rasta’s new creation of African Reggae; it’s regular Jamaican Reggae music blended powerfully with indigenous African sounds and dances. And these are the sounds making up the tracks, including the hit Serwaa Akoto. After his BBC appearance, Blakk Rasta will grant interview on a number of UK-based radio stations including Galaxy Radio, Ahodwo FM and Fire Live Radio. Blakk Rasta has seven albums to his credit including Rasta Shrine (2000), More Fyah (2002), Ganja Minister (2004), Natty Bongo (2006), Naked Wire (2008), Voice of the Afrikan Rebel (2009) and Born Dread (2011). AFCON 2017: Egypt Lanches New Kit For the Tournament

Seven time African champions, Egypt, have officially launched their new kits ahead of the 2017 Nations Cup to be staged in Gabon. The Pharoahs showcased their Addidas branded top in a conference press ahead of their return to continental football. Hector Cuppa ‘s men missed the past three Nations but has since returned for the 60th anniversary of the biannual festival. Dubbed as pretournament favorite, the Pharoahs will be chasing their lost image having failed to qualify for the 2012, 2013 and 2015 edition of the tournament. The brightly colored Addidas branded tops will see the Pharoahs neatly dressed when the festival kicks off from January 14 through February 5,2017. Shatta Wale, Mr Eazi, Beyounce and others Win at Watsup Tv Africa Music Video Awards 2016

WatsUp TV, organisers of the WatsUp TV Africa Music Video Awards have announced winners of the maiden edition of the pan African entertainment awards at meant to boost and encourage the production of quality music videos across Africa and beyond. In a short winners announcement press conference in Accra on December 28, 22 winners emerged out of the 170 music acts and video directors who were nominated when the awards was launched in September, 2016. Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale was the only winner from Ghana Diamond Platinum from Tanzania emerged top with three awards. Winners from each category was determined by popular votes from fans of winner from across the world. AFCON 2017: Gabon Names Final Sqaud for the Tournament

Gabon coach José Antonio Camacho has named the final 23 man squad who are going to battle it out in the 2017 AFCON on their home soil. The squad is led by  team captain and Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and other heavyweight players in the Gabon team such as Didier Ndong of Sunderland, Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, Bruno Ecuélé Manga of Cardiff City and China-based striker Malick Evouna. The Host  nation Gabon is placed in Group A with Guinea-Bissau, four-time winners Cameroon and 2013 runners-up Burkina Faso. Ghanaian Music Diva Mzbel has finally released an official post throwing more light on what actually happened during her performance at Gent, Belgium and the pelting of Eggs brouhaha.   Fans Upset at Mzbel’s Attacker while performing on Stage in Belgium. Organizers and attendees of the "All White Party" held on December 26, in Gent – Belgium, which featured Pat Thomas -a renowned highlife legend and controversial singer and song writer, Mzbel, have condemned the attack on Mzbel while on stage. The incident happened when a middle-aged woman approached the stage and threw an egg at Mzbel, hoping that a lot more people will join in and interrupt her performance . Unfortunately, the crowd got upset, the band freaked out and there was a little chaos which got the woman embarrassed and kicked out. AFCON 2017: Black Stars Start Training Tomorrow

According to Black Stars  Pre AFCON Program , head coach Avram Grant, has called 18 players to start a non residential training tomorrow  at the St.Thomas Aquinas School park in Accra He is expected to name his final 23 man squad for the Afcon on December 31 before the team travel to Dubai in the final phase of the preparations. OMG!: Boss Rewards Over 800 Employees With A Vacation on Caribbean cruise

Bertch Cabinets , a cabinet manufacturing company in Iowa is giving over 800 of its employees a treat of their lives as the company announced it will take them  on a week-long Caribbean cruise   in January, as a reward for a successful business  year. The company announced the vacation on Facebook. “Bertch is excited to announce a company wide vacation!” they wrote on Dec. 20. “We will be closing all facilities January 9-13 so we can set sails for the sunny Caribbean! Watch: A fan Threw Egg at Mzbel On Stage In Belgium

Its very obvious that the hate many people have developed for Mzbel as a result of some comments she made on the President elect Nana Akuffo Addo is not ending any soon . Yesterday during her performance in Gent, Belgium a fan abused her. As reported in a live video posted on facebook by one of the instrumentalists known as OldBoga, an angry fan allegedly threw an egg at Mzbel as she mounted the stage to perform. This Babaric act suddenly brought  chaos at the event grounds as they try to find the culprit. The MC is very furious with the act and strongly condemned it and also called for peace between the fans to forget about partisan politic and support the industry. OldBoga said in his video that "the culprit is a lady and must come out to apologize or else the show won't proceed, she is a Villager he added"  Not long after, Mzbel mounted the stage again a wowed the fans with her amazing live ba nd performance.  Watch the live video below:   

Andre Ayew Opens West Ham Goal Account In Heavy Win

The Ghana Football Association has announced the Black Stars program ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) which will be staged in Gabon. The senior national team’s program for next month’s tournament was approved after a meeting between Management Committee and Technical team. The Black Stars program ahead of the tournament is as follows: 1. Local training session at the St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School on 28th December , 2016 to 1st January, 2017 2. You Are A Fool To Compare Nii Funny To Guru – Guru’s Manager fires Arnold

Ray Moni, manager for hiplife musician Guru is not happy about a statement entertainment journalist and critic, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo made about his artiste after this year’s December 2 Remember concert. Arnold after watching Guru and Nii Funny perform at the December 24 concert lauded the latter for the act he exhibited on the night of the concert but talked strongly against Guru’s performance. According to him, Guru was very bad on stage even though he has been in the music industry for about a decade. “Guru has been in the game for almost 10years and he always sucks on stage. Flavour has arrived in Ghana ahead of Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert today, December 25.The two will for the first time perform their hit collaboration  ‘Finally’  together at the Accra International Conference Center. ‘Finally’  was produced by celebrated Nigerian producer Masterkraft. Slated for December 25, the highly-patronized event is the rapper’s Christmas present to his fans. Citi Fm's much talked about annual concert dubbed "Decmba2Rememba" 2016 came off live yesterdays at Accra International Conference Center.  This year's event was well attended and saw amazing performances from great acts like Okyeame Kwame who just arrive yesterday with the keys from Cincinnati, Joey B , Nii Funny, Article wan , Guru, El and a lot of surprises from artiste who are not even on the bill. Patrons also enjoyed some  rib-cracking jokes from Comedian Khemica and Hogan The Dancehall Commando himself Shatta Wale Shutdown the entire hall with his electrifying performance to draw down the curtains of the show. Ghana in The Run To Host 2023 All African Games

According to reports Ghana has submitted a bid for the rights to host and organise the 2023 All Africa Games. The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) is expected to visit Ghana to inspect the facilities required to host the mega sporting event. Ghana face stiff competition from Zambia and Kenya who are also keen on hosting the mega-sporting event with the final selected host nation to be announced in mid-March 2017. Meanwhile, host of the 12 edition of the All African games is yet to be decided, as Zambia and Kenya are still in contention to be awarded the rights.

Black Queens Protest At Parliament House Over Unpaid Bonuses

Players of the national Female team, the Black Queens have staged a protest at the premises of Ghana’s parliament over their unpaid bonuses. The Black Queens who came third in the just ended Africa Women’s Nations Cup have vowed to march to the Flagstaff House to demand their unpaid bonuses if their concerns are not immediately addressed. The players are demanding their arrears from last year’s All African Games, where they won gold, the 2016 Olympic qualifiers and also for finishing third at last month’s Africa Women’s Championship in Cameroon. President of the Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi on Wednesday succeeded in convincing the players to suspend their protest as the Sports Ministry promised to settle the arrears Thursday. But the Ministry failed to pay the players after they turned up at the Ministry Thursday morning leading to the decision to march to parliament.
